September Favourite Finds 2020

It’s September Favourite Finds time! This month is all about books, beer, skincare and plants. All perfect activities for another month spent inside here in Melbourne. Thankfully I haven’t run out of ways to keep myself entertained yet. I’d love to hear about your September favourite finds too!

Seize The Yay Book

Ok so this one might seem a little biased given the author is one of my best friends (and I might even get a sneaky mention in the thank you section). However, it most certainly was one of my favourite reads of the month. Despite knowing Sarah throughout the time she changed careers and launched businesses and the podcast I still learned so much about her journey. It was such an insightful, heartwarming, inspiring read whether you’re making big changes in your life or not. I definitely recommend you pick up a copy!

Molly Rose Brewing Beer

I had walked past this brewery many times in the past and always meant to go in and try some beers. Well, that’s obviously not currently an option, but when I realised they were selling beer from their roller door I picked some up! It was flavourful, refreshing and delicious. I will definitely be heading back to pick up more, and once they can reopen sit in for some beers!

Mecca Athletica Body Lotion

I needed some new body moisturiser so decided to give this new one from Mecca Athletica a try. I like that it is vegan friendly, cruelty free, sulphate free and it’s Australian made too! It’s a pretty thick cream but it absorbs well and feels really nourishing and hydrating. I can’t account for whether it’s firming my skin at this stage, but it’s definitely not hurting!

Moon Dog Spring Box

Okay, I promise I’m not actually doing all that much drinking in quarantine, I’m just trying to support local businesses! I saw that Moon Dog were doing a spring box full of some old favourites and some new beers I had been wanting to try. It didn’t disappoint either – the range of beers was excellent. Lagers, sours, IPAs, pale ales – you name it!

One of the things that also made this one of my September Favourite Finds was that the box came with a kokedama kit. I had never made one of these before, but anything plant-related is right up my alley! It might not be the prettiest kokedama anyone has ever made, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out, and can’t wait to see it hopefully flourish!
